Gannett’s CBS affiliate KTHV-TV in Little Rock will start a 6:30 p.m. local newscast on April 6, Broadcasting & Cable reports. “There isn’t another local news in that time period, so we felt there was an opportunity,” president and general manager Larry Audas tells the trade paper. The show will be an “anchor-driven” program that focuses on University of Arkansas sports and the economy, the publication says.
