A multicultural soap opera is capturing French viewers with story lines
that include issues such as racism and teenage pregnancy, the New York
Times says. The soap, “Plus Belle la Vie,” draws about 13 million people
weekly, more viewers every night than any channel except TF1, which airs
the top-rated news show, the newspaper says.
