The NCAA next year can opt out of the 11-year $6 billion contract that gives CBS the right to carry the men’s college basketball championships, the New York Times reports. With the economy tanking, the NCAA might not find a higher buyer for March Madness. “We have a pretty good track record of renewing all our deals well before they expire,” CBS Sports and News president Sean McManus tells the paper.
