The advertising industry’s lead negotiator said he remains “cautiously optimistic” that the industry and the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists will reach an agreement, Daily Variety reports. “While both sides have made major progress and I remain cautiously optimistic, the next couple of days will be critical to reaching a new agreement,” wrote ad industry negotiator Douglas Wood on two Web sites Monday, the trade paper says.
