News Corp. named Jan Koeppen, who headed Boston Consulting Group’s media practice, as a new top aide for James Murdoch, the Wall Street Journal reports. Koeppen was tapped as chief operating officer of News Corp.’s Europe and Asia operations, which oversee its stake in the BSkyB satellite-TV service, Star television in Asia and its U.K. newspapers, the publication says.
