WCBS-TV anchor Steve Bartelstein quit the New York television station on Tuesday night, saying he was under appreciated and his breaking point was reached when his paycheck was mistakenly mailed to his home, the New York Daily News reports. The check should have been waiting for him at the station, which delayed his ability to pay medical bills and expenses, he told the newspaper. Bartelstein said he had beaten testicular cancer a year ago and said his health didn’t play into his decision to quit, the publication says.
