Walt Disney’s agreement to buy part of Hulu puts pressure on CBS to get a greater return on its Web programming investment because CBS now is the only major network that’s not part of Hulu, Broadcasting & Cable reports. CBS has held discussions with Hulu, which was launched by News Corp. and NBC Universal last year, but the network said today after the Disney agreement that it will continue to pursue nonexclusive content agreements, B&C says.
