NBC Considers Canceling ‘Earl’

Apr 1, 2009  •  Post A Comment

NBC may cancel “My Name Is Earl” due to the show’s sagging ratings and high costs, Deadline Hollywood Daily reports. The show’s producer, 20th Century TV, is not warming up to smaller licensing fees being offered, creating speculation that the show may get picked up by Fox, since Kevin Reilly was behind the series’ development while he was at NBC, the site explains.

  1. Fox please pick up “My Name is Earl” (and drop that bomb “Until Death” that you keep renewing.) People who watch it love it. People who don’t watch it should get hip to some of the best writing on TV. But the bottom line – it’s just plain funny.
