With New York Gov. David Paterson slated to sign a budget containing $350 million in tax credits for film and television production, some are saying the program won’t be enough to keep TV shows in the state, Daily Variety reports. The networks are shooting two pilots this season, versus 16 last year, the trade paper says. “We can’t revise the program on a year-to-year basis and expect television series to relocate to New York,” New York Production Alliance executive director John Johnston tells the publication.
