Fox is using the pilot for its new series “Glee,” airing May 19, as the start of a marketing campaign to gather viewers for the show when it officially launches in the fall, TelevisionWeek reports. “Our goal is to turn the people who watched it into brand ambassadors, to use hackneyed marketing-speak,” Fox marketing chief Joe Earley tells TVWeek. “We believe that when you watch this show, you can’t help but get out the word.”
