The Screen Actors Guild’s national board of directors approved a proposed contract and will present the deal to membership, possibly ending a long standoff with the studios and networks, TelevisionWeek reports. Meanwhile the long fight has left scars inside the union that will take a long time to heal, and has opened the door to rival AFTRA, under which the bulk of this year’s primetime pilots will be made, TVWeek says.
