Nicollette Sheridan said Marc Cherry’s decision to kill off her character Edie on “Desperate Housewives” will have “devastating ramifications,” US Weekly reports, citing an upcoming article in TV Guide. She accuses Cherry of ignoring her in the opening credits, and suggests “he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction” with regard to Edie and the real-life inspiration for the character, the magazine says. Cherry, however, says the course of Edie had run out, and he also faced pressure from the network to cut costs, Us adds.
