TV Necessary to Only 52% in Poll

In a new poll, 52% of those responding called television a necessity, the lowest total since 1973, the New York Times reports. Older people above 65 years of age were more likely to think TV is needed, while just 38% of the 18 to 29 year olds said they couldn’t live without the tube.

I wonder how many people said they didn’t need television because it sounded intellectual to do it.One of the most pretentious statements ever made is “I don’t watch TV”.And the idea that the internet is somehow more accurate or objective with news and information is ridiculous.Wonder what these people will do as TV and the internet continue the moves toward combination.We’ll have to find them a cave to live in.
