Paula Abdul tells the Ladies’ Home Journal that she’s no longer dependent on medication for the first time in 12 years. Abdul checked into the La Costa Resort and Spa, in Carlsbad, Calif., in November to kick her habit, although she tells the magazine she never taped an “American Idol” episode while medicated. “I could have killed myself…. Withdrawal — it’s the worst thing,” she says.
