CBS Pulls ‘Trace,’ ‘Unit,’ ’11th Hour’

CBS has canceled “Without a Trace,” “The Unit” and “11th Hour,” Television Week’s TV MoJoe reports. Shows with some better news include “Cold Case,” “Numbers,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Gary Unmarried” and “Rules of Engagement,” which will all return to the network next season, the Web site says. It would be a huge surprise if “Medium” doesn’t move to CBS, as well, although NBC has official rights to the program and needs to give CBS the nod to announce it at its upfront, the publication adds. The cancellations are needed to replace aging and expensive dramas on the only network that grew its audience this season, USA Today points out. Another bubble show that learned its fate is “My Name Is Earl,” which won’t be returning to NBC, TVWeek says.

  1. WE love the Unit and 11th hour they are two of the best shows on tv. We watch CBS almost all of the time as it is not full of crazy comedy and idol and crazy batchelor shows we love CBS and please dont take away the Unit one of our favorite shows and also the 11th hour a very good show and very interesting We love the both of them hope other people will write in and hope to change your mind about these two shows. WE love CSI and CSI New York we never watch the Miami one as the actors are not as good on that one. Thanks for lettting me write in about this. Judy Daniel Graevine,Texas

  2. Likewise, I always DVR The Unit and The 11th Hour. Of course, The Unit seemed to be extremely hard to find this season as it was moved to Sundays, I believe.
    Sorry to seem them go!
