Centralizing Helps TV Stations

With television stations hit by the recession and a decline in ad spending, many managers are considering centralizing technical operations to help offset the decline in sales, TVNewsday reports. Meredith, for example, is paring costs by centralizing tasks such as traffic and billing and graphics production, the site says.
