Gregory Expects to Stay on Top

David Gregory, who has been moderator of “Meet the Press” for six months, tells the Baltimore Sun that while the competition is gunning for him, “it is expected of us to stay on top. And that’s what we’re going to do.” Part of Gregory’s strategy is to bring younger viewers to the show by anchoring on MSNBC and communicating via new media, he tells the paper.

  1. Meet the Press should try to stay on top by doing the watchdog journalism they used to do. Gregory does not meet the level of Russert’s skill. Not even close. Hire Jon Stewart if you want young people AND keep up the standards set in the past.
