NBC will split its new series debuts between fall and winter, leaving its fourth-quarter premieres to two new dramas and one new sitcom, as well as a lot of Jay Leno, Television Week reports. The network is taking advantage of the Winter Olympics, which will air in the middle of the 2009-10 season, the newspaper adds. The result will be NBC airing fewer repeats throughout the year, and it will be picking up fewer episodes of each program, Variety says.
