The Screen Actors Guild’s Hollywood division has created a seven-member task force that will look at the “acquisition” of AFTRA members, Daily Variety reports. “We are aware of the matter and are discussing it with legal counsel. We have no further comment at this time,” AFTRA spokesman Chris de Haan tells the trade paper. SAG first VP Anne-Marie Johnson tells Variety the task force “reflects the desire of many actors in Los Angeles to find a plausible way to bring actors under a single union.”
