Games in baseball’s World Series will start about 40 minutes earlier this fall than last, ESPN.com reports. Major League Baseball said the first pitch will happen before 8 p.m. ET this season, after Fox’s pregame show, which will start at 7:30. “Our goal is to schedule games so the largest number of people can watch, and Fox has gone to an enormous amount of effort to make this happen,” MLB commissioner Bud Selig said, according to MLB.com. Fox also will televise American League Championship Series games with the earlier start times, ESPN.com said; it is not known if postseason games on TBS will start earlier.
