Miss California Fired

Jun 10, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, is being fired, Fox News reports.

She’s being fired by K2 Productions, the company that produces the Miss California USA pageant, and the firing has the blessing of Donald Trump, who owns the pageant, Fox reports.

Prejean stirred some controversy when certain pictures of her surfaced, as well as her remarks that gays and lesbians should not have the right to marry in California. Since the passage of a ballot initiative in California in November gays and lesbians no longer have the right to marry in the state.

In its article Fox quotes K2 as saying the firing only had to do with business contract violations by Prejean.

  1. YAY!

  2. Why you gay?

  3. I think she was a target from the get go with her gay comments. She told a bold christian stand and was given a lot of flack for that! I still think she is great!

  4. Why should she keep her crown? She repeatedly violated business contracts, and she also offended a large segment of the population. K2 Productions doesn’t want her, Donald Trump approved of the firing, so if she wants to promote anti-gay or so-called “Christian” views, she should do it on her own platform.

  5. I am so happy to learn that Carrie was fired – not for anything more than how much of a poor sport she is. Isn’t any competition all about sportsmanship?? I cannot believe that no-one has actually picked up on this or at least I haven’t seen anyone yet.
She is an extremely poor role model for anyone that has bought into this and I hope all of the youth realize it is not the way to behave.

  6. thought about liked your post, it really added an awesome view point on your matter. Thanks.
