ABC Daytime Making Cross-Country Moves

Aug 5, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Days after claiming it was all a rumor, ABC Daytime confirmed late Tuesday that it would move production of "All My Children" from New York to Los Angeles and that "One Life to Live" would move into "All My Children’s" former New York space. The switch is designed to give both shows facility upgrades and streamlined production models, according to the Orlando Sun-Sentinel.

The show will move in December and begin taping Jan. 4, 2010. The new digs for “All My Children,” which are twice as large as the current studio, include two stages, which will allow for more standing sets. The switch will allow the series to broadcast in HD by February 2010.
