ABC Has Summer Ratings Swoon, Hits Wrong Kind of Record

Aug 12, 2009  •  Post A Comment

ABC for the third time this summer last week hit a ratings low in its target demo of viewers 18 to 49, reports the New York Times.

The network posted an average 1.1 rating in the demo, a record low among all networks; it was the third time this summer it had hit that number, which it also hit once last summer, up against NBC’s Olympics programming. Overall ABC drew just 3.5 million viewers, compared to CBS’ 6.2 million, NBC’s 5.9 million and Fox’ 5.3 million.
