ABC’s McPherson Calls Katherine Heigl’s Griping ‘Unfortunate’

Katherine Heigl’s complaints to David Letterman about the long work days at ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” were “unfortunate,” ABC Entertainment Group president Steve McPherson said Saturday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“People are going to behave in the way they choose to behave. There are so many people who work so hard on ‘Grey’s,’ and all of our shows, without any notoriety and those are the ones I’d be concerned about, people who feel like they’re being criticized or looked down upon,” he told TV critics assembled in Pasadena, Calif..

Heigl called the 17-hour days on the hit show “cruel and mean.”

  1. Oh come on…she is saying the hours are gruling…is she lying..no..she says they have to work 17 hours a day..is she lying?….no! I saw the interview..and it doesnt seem like complaining to me..she was only stating facts. For some reason, the producers have her on their nose and anything she says they jump on. If you dont want the woman on the show..tell her..or fire her..just stop picking on every one of her interviews. I’m sick of reading negative things the producers write about her…they’re probably getting flack from some of the other actors because Heigl is the ONLY one that is doing something other than Grey’s. This is for the producers…its called JEALOUSY. Look it up in the dictionary..you’ll see half the cast’s pictures next to it.
