Could NBC be second-guessing its choice of David Gregory to take over “Meet The Press”?

You have to wonder in light of the fact that “This Week With George Stephanopoulos" was the No. 1 newsmaker show on Sunday, Aug. 2, in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demographic, besting “MTP” for the first time in a decade, according to the Huffington Post.

“Meet The Press” was the top Sunday talker throughout most of Tim Russert’s tenure, so this has to sting, especially since it’s the first time Stephanopoulos has ever beaten "Meet the Press." in both categories.
