Although it will open with a monologue and have at least one celebrity interview a night, the new “Jay Leno Show” will not simply be “The Tonight Show” in a prime time slot, TV Guide Magazine reports.
Among the show’s new segments will be comedy pieces shot and edited by young comedians, as well as a so-called “Green Car Challenge” where celebrities race Ford Focus electric cars on a track next to the studio.
Leno hopes to make the show feel less like a talk show in addition to being more interactive.
