Bad Economy Spurs New Game-Show Hopefuls: The Unemployed

Game shows like “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” and “Deal or No Deal” are attracting more and more hopeful contestants who are unemployed and need the funds to pay essential bills, says USA Today.

Where once the lure of game shows was winning cash and luxury items to add some fun to life, now many contestants are playing for cash that they need to keep themselves afloat, and increasingly they are white-collar professionals.
