Conrad Green, the executive producer of ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" tells the New York Times that former President Bill Clinton was the first choice the show had in mind for the 2009 season.
Instead of the Big Dog, Green and company settled on former Congressman Tom Delay, the Times says. “We really want to have Bill Clinton," Green was quoted as saying, adding that that the former president is still the dream contestant.
Green also reveals to the Times that a call was made to President Clinton’s office. “I think the phone was quickly thrown down,” he says.
