Abdul Roundup: Details of Why She Really Left ‘Idol’; Why She Won’t Be on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ This Season; Who Should Replace Her

1) Paula Abdul left “American Idol” in part because she felt the producers of the Fox show had shown her disrespect, partly by failing to fend off talk of her flakiness and possible substance abuse, reports the New York Times in a deconstruction of the months of behind-the-scenes wrangling that led to her departure.

2) Abdul met with ABC Entertainment chief Stephen McPherson Tuesday afternoon and she will likely NOT be on "Dancing With The Stars" this season, TMZ reports. "We’re told there was talk of making her a guest judge but that’s not gonna happen, and we know why. Paula and Carrie Ann Inaba don’t get along," TMZ says.

3) TVWeek Open Mike Blogger Chuck Ross tells what his Fox sources are telling him about the Paula/Idol situation. He has a solution to what Fox’s next move on this should be, and he asks you to get involved.

  1. OK, I don’t know why Paula and Carrie Ann don’t get along.

  2. Here you have a world class dancer that has worked with some of the greats. Leave her alone and put her to work. It was not fair to give everyone a large raise and exclude her.
I wonder how long the show will last, or, watch the audience diminish.

  3. This is good info! Where else can if ind out more?? Who runs this joint too? Keep up the good work 🙂
