Aug 7, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Simon Cowell, in his first public comments about Paula Abdul’s decision not to accept the new contract that was offered her to return to "American Idol," said, "Paula has been very cool about the whole thing. And let me tell you, Paula is going to be fine.”

He told People magazine that he’s spoken to everyday since she Twittered her message on Tuesday. "I’m going to miss her. She’s my buddy."

People caught up with Cowell in Denver, where the show was going to be holding auditions. The magazine also spoke to ‘Idol’ judge Randy Jackson, who said, “We all love her. I think I may cry today. It’s weird.”
