When Wanda Sykes talks, people usually laugh, and starting in September on her new Fox late night show, she’ll be getting those laughs by skewering the week that was, reports USA Today.
Taking over the "Mad TV" spot on Saturdays at 11 p.m., "The Wanda Sykes Show" promises to push the envelope; think of it as "Meet the Press" with jokes.
"I’m the wrap-up of what happened through the week but from my point of view," USA Today quotes her as saying. She has no intention of leaving CBS’ "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and HBO’s "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which she will continue to do in addition to her new weekly gig.
