Jay Leno has been cleared by the Writers Guild of America of allegations that he violated the union’s strike rules during last year’s work stoppage, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The comedian, who is working on the launch of his NBC primetime strip next month, said on air during the strike that he was writing his own late-night monologues. He was brought before the union’s trial board earlier this year and said he did nothing wrong and the Guild apparently agreed.
