NBC and Universal Sports, have struck an agreement with USA Gymnastics to broadcast its largest events through 2012, The Associated Press reports.

The deal, along with NBC’s contracts with skating, skiing, swimming, and track gives the network coverage of five major U.S. Olympic sports.

NBC has aired every Summer Olympics since the 1988 games in Seoul, South Korea and every Winter Olympics since the 2002 games in Salt Lake City, Utah,

USOC and NBC enjoyed a good relationship in the past, with USOC officials even praising the NBC coverage of various games. However, the AP notes, the relationship soured when the USOC and Comcast partnered up to create a new network expected to air after the 2010 games in Vancouver, British Columbia.
