BBC’s director of 2012 Olympic coverage, Roger Mosley, has confirmed that the network is exploring 3-D transmission for some of the London Summer Games, reports the Guardian.

In addition to 3-D, Mosley said "super high-definition" cameras might be used at Olympic sites to maximize the viewing experience, even though many homes would not have the technology to receive the images.
