Caro Jones, who cast more than 1,000 TV shows, pilots, movies of the week and miniseries in her more than four decades in the business, died Sept. 3 of multiple myeloma, says The Hollywood Reporter. She was 86.

Her first job in the business was as an assistant casting director for the New York Theater Guild’s live TV production "The United States Steel Hour." At Paramount Television, she cast "Love, American Style," "Mannix," and "Paper Moon" (the TV version). Her film work included "Rocky" and "Save the Tiger."
