Venezuelan authorities will fine cable television companies if they continue to air the animated series "Family Guy," after Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami took offense at an episode in which the characters campaigned for the legalization of marijuana, reports the Associated Press.

The threat of fines comes as cable television companies in Venezuela are about to be the subject of new regulations by the government of President Hugo Chavez.
