Baz Luhrman, who directed "Moulin Rouge," will be a guest judge on ABC’s "Dancing WIth the Stars" Monday night, Sept. 28th.
Luhrman also directed the feature film "Strictly Ballroom," and that film was the inspiration of the U.K. program that "Dancing" is based upon, the director tells the Newsweek blog Pop Vox.
Our favorite part of the interview:
Pop Vox: Do you watch Dancing with the Stars?
Luhrman: I have watched it a lot more recently, now that I’m boning up on how to be a judge. I’m sure I’ll be a terrible judge and probably give everyone a nine.
Pop Vox: Are you going to score?
Luhrman: Score as in…I don’t know, I’m a bit old for that but I’ll give it a go.
Pop Vox: I didn’t mean hit on someone. I meant hold a paddle.
Luhrman: You know what? I don’t really know. I said, ‘Look I’ll go in, I’ll participate, it’ll be fun.’
