Multicamera comedies are poised for a comeback, based on development so far for next season, predicts The Hollywood Reporter.

Unlike this season, where single-camera shows have the limelight, multicamera sitcoms have been dominating summer commitments.

One factor appears to be repeatability: Summer reruns of CBS’ multicamera comedies "Two and a Half  Men" and "The Big Bang Theory" saw better ratings than any other reruns and most original fare this summer.
