The CW officially launched the 2009 fall television season last night with the return of "90210" and the debut of its reimagined "Melrose Place," but neither set off any fireworks in the Nielsen ratings, reports TVbythenumbers.com.
Starting its second season, "90210" had a 1.7 rating in the adults 18-34 demo targeted by The CW; that was a big drop from the 3.1 rating for its premiere a year ago.
"Melrose Place" scored a 1.5 in the adults 18-34 demo.
Fox won the night overall with "Hell’s Kitchen" and "More to Love."
