No, Wait, ABC Says It Hasn’t Canceled ‘Defying Gravity’

ABC denied reports that it has pulled the plug on "Defying Gravity," says the Futon Critic, but it isn’t saying when the show will return.

The series started late in the summer, so ABC wasn’t able to air all of the 13 first-season episodes before the fall crunch began. This past weekend was its last outing for the moment, and not a particularly good one: It was the least-watched show on the four major networks.

  1. My TiVO last night shows it will resume on September 22nd at 9:00 p.m. EDT. Do not delete your future recording schedule if you use TiVO or Digital Cable Box that records programming.

  2. September 22 at 9PM is the second hour of the Dancing With the Stars #901a competition episode, their Tuesday night debut.
If ABC decides to replace top-rated DWTS with bottom-rated Defying Gravity, I’d be flabbergasted.

  3. I guess I’m one of the few that couldn’t wait for the next episode. Obviously, I’m looking today since I watched the last episode last night. (recorded) Xfiles was completely unbelievable and it was loved. What happened here?

  4. It is not your fault – there is so much misinformation out there about this show – I am constantly correcting web sites – poof – like are there 11 or 13 episodes 😛
a bunch of people are trying to save the show – here is a site listing some of the efforts and possibilities so far – http://defyinggravity.wetpaint.com/page/Save+Our+Show+-+Beta+Siren+Call

  5. It’s great to see that momentum is starting to pick up for this great show! I’m anxious to get the official official word, but the rumors of it not getting cancelled are encouraging! There’s another campaign going on over here to make sure the show doesn’t get cancelled: http://defyingravityonline.com.

  6. Dude! Do something with spamming inside the comments, please! Many of those responses are fake :/ .
