Stephen King is turning his novella “The Colorado Kid” into an hourlong series for studio E1 Entertainment, which will line up international co-production partners at Mipcom next month and then seek a U.S. broadcaster, reports Variety.
The series, called “Haven,” is about an FBI agent sent into a Maine town to sort out the curses brought on by some residents. ABC had initially developed the adaptation for the 2008-09 season.
The team behind King’s “The Dead Zone” series for USA Network is working on the new show, including showrunner/EP Scott Shepherd and executive producers Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller. “Dead Zone” alums Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn are writing.
