ABC Yanks ‘Hank’

Less than a year after Fox nixed "Back to You," Kelsey Grammer has been pink-slipped again.

ABC has halted production on Grammer’s sitcom "Hank," reports the Futon Critic.

ABC will fill the Wednesday 8 p.m. timeslot with other programming as of next week. The five episodes of "Hank" yet to air will be burned off some other time. The show has failed to catch fire, averaging a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demo.

  1. Hank was awful I watched the 1st 2 shows and started watching Christine instead. I like twoo of the abc shows The Middle and Modern Family but Hank and Cougar Town have left a lot to be desired even thou Cougar Town was better last week not so screechie and yelling. It also shows that because you have had past success you can’t just put anything on and expect it to be good.

  2. Is Eastwick next? Let’s hope so.

  3. I AM SORRY TO SEE ABC NETWORK YANKING HANK FROM THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT LINE UP

  4. When will network executives realize that people never liked Kelsey Grammar. The public liked his Frasier character that he played for 22 years. Unless he comes backl as Frasier again, he will never have a successful show again. Nobody will believe him in any other role.

  5. I agree w/Ron. ‘Hank’ was awful and I started watching Christine instead. I had never bothered w/it before but find it’s pretty funny. It’s not that Kelsey Grammer isn’t liked (he was good in Back to You), but we still so strongly equate him w/Frasier, it’s hard to see him playing a variation of that character in a mediocre show. He should try to do something completely different.

  6. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
