Bret Favre a Ratings Booster for Fox

Nov 3, 2009  •  Post A Comment

All the hype about quarterback Bret Favre’s return to Green Bay as a member of the rival Minnesota Vikings paid off in the ratings.

The Nielsen ratings for Fox’s coverage of Sunday’s Green Bay Packers vs. the Minnesota Vikings gamed showed that it was the second-most-watched NFL game ever on the network, with an average of 29.8 million viewers before 7 p.m. and 39 million after 7 p.m.

The numbers were up 26% over the same time last year.

  1. But it couldn’t have helped the ratings for CBS affiliates here in the South who carried the Panthers game instead. Business was brisk at the sports bars in town.

  2. Fox. I meant Fox.

  3. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  4. Hello webmaster can I use some of the information from this post if I provide a link back to your site?

  5. I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up 🙂
