ABC News grabbed the exclusive interview next month with Andrew Young, a former friend and aide to Sen. John Edwards who once claimed to have fathered a child with Edwards’ former mistress, the Associated Press reports.

Young will discuss his upcoming book, "The Politician," which is an account of Edwards’ campaigns and the scandal with Edwards’ former mistress Rielle Hunter. Correspondent Bob Woodruff will do the interview, which will air Jan. 29 on "20/20." Young will also appear on ABC’s "Good Morning America" on Feb. 2.

Edwards, the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2004 and a candidate for president in 2008, admitted to having an affair with Hunter, but denied he was the father of her child. The New York Times later reported that Young’s book proposal claimed that he had helped arrange the affair and that Edwards was the father of the child.
