Executive Producer Musical Chairs at CBS’ ‘Early Show’

Dec 10, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Zev Shalev, the executive producer of "The Early Show" on CBS, is leaving to start a new Internet site, the Associated Press reports.

The Observer, meanwhile, reports that the "Early Show" executive producer job will go to David Friedman, most recently the executive producer on NBC’s "Last Call With Carson Daly," and the son of CBS News executive vice president Paul Friedman.

Shalev’s new website is called NewsTsar, and will bring together news and social media when it launches in the spring.

CBS did not make any announcement about who will replace Shalev.
