Ending weeks of speculation, ABC announced today that George Stephanopoulos will take the "Good Morning America" seat beside Robin Roberts being vacated by Diane Sawyer, reports B&C.
He assumes the role of co-anchor Dec. 14.
Stephanopoulos will continue moderating the Sunday morning news hour "This Week With George Stephanopoulos."

George is better handling all the crap that occurs inside the Beltway…and very good at his Sunday THIS WEEK.
ABC has made a bad decision moving Sawyer out of GMA. She’s great there, but not as evening anchor.
They will have to go outside their stable of good people to replace Gibson.
Sorry, ABC…break out your checkbook, but choose wisely.
