TV manufacturer LG Electronics set an ambitious goal for 3D television sales, indicating a coming battle among set makers, Reuters reports.
The company said at a news conference that it hopes to sell 400,000 3D TVs in 2010 and 3.4 million in 2011.
LG currently offers just one 47-inch 3D set, but a number of 3D models with improved technology will be brought to market in the second half of next year.
Recently Sony said it was making a similiar commitment to 3D.
