Michael Jackson’s FBI File: Authorities Feared Terrorist Attack During Trial

Dec 22, 2009  •  Post A Comment

The FBI files about the late Michael Jackson reveal that the Santa Maria Police Department in California feared a potential terror attack during the media maelstrom surrounding the singer’s 2003 arrest for child molestation, reports the Associated Press.

The file was released under the Freedom of Information Act on Tuesday. Included was information that police asked for FBI "involvement,"  saying they believed the court case would be a "soft target" for terrorism because of "worldwide media coverage."
