DirecTV will debut the nation’s first 3-D HDTV channel in early 2010, according to a report by HDGuru.

The reports says that last night, Dec. 28, a program satellite launched by DirecTV will be the one to carry the new 3-D channel, and that that channel could be operational as soon as March. DirecTV will make an announcement about the new channel at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Jan. 7th, the report says.

According to the article, the new channel "will feature an assortment of movies, sports and programs in 3D. All programs are in HD 3D and meet the new 3D standards the major TV manufacturers support, according to sources.

"Sources tell HD Guru DirecTV’s current HDTV boxes will receive a firmware upgrade to allow its existing subscriber base to receive HD 3D programming. The shows will then be compatible with the new 3D capable HDTVs expected to debut at CES by Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, LG and other TV makers, as well as existing Mitsubishi DLP models that are accompanied by a forthcoming 3D converter box. Viewers will need one of these new 3D HDTVs to view DirecTV 3D programming, along with compatible 3D glasses."

  1. It is amazing to me that this is possible! I work with Sharp and know a lot about their flat screen TVs. I am looking forward to seeing how this develops and who latches onto the idea.

  2. Sure it’s not working. Who in a right mind would sell products like Forex Tracer. He or she will make money for themselves. I try in my demo, for about a month, my balance was -1017 pips. To make money in forex, you have to learn to trade on your own. Period! You might want to subscribe to some forex alert service, for your companion, but you have to trade on your own. Nice place to start 4xgenie.com
