The late-night war of words won’t hurt Jay Leno in the long run NBC executives believe, B&C reports.

Jeff Gaspin, chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment, told B&C: "While a lot of this has been fodder for [the media] I think in the end Jay Leno viewers don’t care what Conan O’Brien’s rabid viewers and fans are saying." He called the weeks of sniping and contract wrangling “the inner-workings and the politics of Hollywood."

Leno returns in latenight on March 1.

  1. conan goes to fox, leno back in place and comcast brings their guy with them in the wings, the eventual tonight show host in, no not chelsea, ryan sechrest!
    sechrest out!

  2. I for one will not be watching Leno ever again. As a former fan who had been to see his show twice in the seventeen seasons that he was on “Tonight,” I am believing the stories that he pushed Johnny Carson and Conan out in order to serve himself steaks that eats while also butchering the cow behind closed doors.
Jay, you are a weasle with no moral compass…
